Devansh Deepak Patel
Devansh Patel is a Ph.D. candidate and SSEBE Fellow in Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering at Arizona State University, and a Graduate Research Associate in the Mobasher research group.
His research covers flexural response modeling and inverse analysis of fiber reinforced concrete and UHPC beams, including closed-form back-calculation of tensile stress-strain laws from beam test data and serviceability-based design of hybrid sections. He is the lead developer of HRC Designer, the group's inverse analysis and design software, with over 400 downloads on ResearchGate.
He served as project lead for the testing program behind the Valley Metro light rail FRC track slab in Phoenix, work recognized by Engineering News-Record among the top transit projects in the country in 2024. Before the Ph.D. he practiced as a structural engineer at Bingham Engineering Consultants in Phoenix on more than 200 design and forensic projects, and he holds an F.E. license in Arizona.
